Assessing our needs and planning for future generations
As a non-profit organization, your support is essential to maintaining our vibrant community and furthering our mission within the Christian Science movement. Recently, we have taken significant steps to assess our needs and plan for the future, and we are excited to share our progress with you.
Discovering Our Needs
Picture our bustling campus, a place of beauty and serenity that has welcomed so many over the years. However, like any well-loved home, it needs care and attention to continue being available for future generations. To understand what we need, we undertook a comprehensive survey of our campus, uncovering areas that require immediate attention and long-term investment.
Villa Renovations
One of our most pressing needs is renovating our villas. These homes, once restored, will not only provide comfortable living spaces for our residents but also help reduce our waiting list. The increased revenue from these renovations will significantly bolster our annual income, ensuring The Willows can thrive for years to come.
Capital Improvements
Our campus spans an impressive ~20 acres, with 150+ villas nestled among its picturesque landscapes. Maintaining this haven requires ongoing work:
Electrical Upgrades: Updated electrical systems are essential to ensure safety and reliability
HVAC Upgrades: Modern, energy-efficient HVAC systems will improve comfort and reduce our environmental footprint
Painting: Fresh coats of exterior paint will protect and beautify our buildings, preserving their charm
Building for the Future
To support these ongoing improvements, we are establishing a Facility Endowment Fund. This endowment will act as a financial cornerstone, providing the necessary resources to keep our campus in top condition, no matter what the future holds
Planning Our Path Forward
We have engaged a consultant to help us strategize and build a strong foundation of supporters who understand the importance of our mission. Currently, a feasibility study is underway to explore the best ways to raise the capital we need. We are working diligently to craft a campaign that will resonate with our community and inspire generous contributions.
