LOLLY & BRAD MURRAY

Meet Lolly & Brad Murray! They met at Principia College and have recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. In April, they moved to The Willows from Florida. We asked them to share with us why they moved to The Willows and they responded with the following: “The prayerful, Love-based atmosphere at The Willows is a palpable, healing breath of fresh air for us. We recently came from a very large retirement community which offered a multitude of activities to satisfy every interest imaginable. However, the prevailing thought and conversation were very medically and materially based. A ‘healthy lifestyle’ meant automatically turning to the numerous health care facilities to maintain your wellbeing, and aging implied decline. We wanted something else. This ultimately led us to seek a community where the predominant thought was more in line with what we understand to be true about God’s man, through the lens of Christian Science. The Willows has provided just that environment, where spiritual progress and thinking forward is encouraged and demonstrated. We've seen how each individual is respected, and their unique expressions are supported and encouraged. It truly feels like a family, and we are at home!”

Lolly and Brad have both embraced the community as their own. Brad will be teaching art classes later this month and he and Lolly helped plan the community meal provided to residents on July 4th!
